Homeschooling: Lesson 5 - Alphabet, Yellow, The Wonderful Day

Today, we reviewed the color red and started with the color yellow. He was able to make his red thing and then another yellow thing from Fit-A-Space.

For the story Wonderful Day, he was not entirely interested but we managed to finish the story. What he was interested though was the little introduction to reading a book -- going through the pictures on the cover, explaining what was happening there, opening the book and looking at the title, going to the first page and then reading the story itself.

He already knows his alphabet so the Reading Readiness part was a refresher and we went through all the letters on the A-Z puzzle and looking at the images that correspond to each.

For the games, he LOVED this part: we revised it this: He has a small puppy toy and we played hide and seek (counting one to ten with his eyes closed). While were also singing Oh Where Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone when he looked for the toy. Silly thing though, he places it on only one location (under the green bedsheet)

When it was my turn, I hid it outside his homeclassroom (on obvious places) and we had fun looking for it.
