If you have a visitor from another city or country and they want to experience something truly Cebuano, where would you bring them?
Some would suggest bringing them to Mactan to enjoy the beaches or go on a heritage tour. Some would send them mall hopping or savoring the truly Cebuano delicacies and street food.
What would you do?
For me, one place they should not miss visiting is Lakwatsa Resto Lounge. Why? They seem to be the only place in Cebu offering truly Cebuano (or Filipino!) cultural shows that transport you to different era in the Philippines through their dances and songs.
Above is a photo of their interpretation of the song "Pasayawa ko Day". I like this song as it brings out a lot of childhood memories from Sunday morning music that echoes out around the neighborhood listened to by our parents and adults of their age.
It was my second time to visit the resto lounge. I would say the food is very much satisfying. It becomes tastier watching the performances. They also show acrobatics and fire dancing like the last time we visited during the Press Freedom Week celebration and the Ng Khai's 20th year anniversary.
