A Picnic to Remember - Jollibee Family Bee Day in Cebu

After my talk at Gdays Mandaue, the boys and I went ahead to Plaza Independencia where the Jollibee Family Bee Day was held. I was surprised to see a huge crowd jamming to Sponge Cola when we arrived!

Thousands of families joined the simultaneous Family Bee Day from across Davao, Manila, Cebu, Pampanga and Laguna. The venues? It's as big as the Quirino Grandstand in Metro Manila, Bayanihan Park in Pampanga, Nuvali football grounds in Laguna, Plaza Independencia in Cebu and Crocodile Park in Davao.

What is Family Bee Day? Well, consider it as Jollibee's way of saying thank you to the supporters and brand advocates who have been there for them. It is also in celebration of Filipino's love for good food (alongside good company).

Jollibee says that "by turning an ordinary summer afternoon into a fun-filled celebration with exciting entertainment from some of the country’s leading celebrities and bands, outdoor fun and games and great-tasting food, the country’s number one family fast-food chain truly enabled thousands of families to celebrate the grandest picnic ever!"

Here are some clips and photos from our own bonding moment. And that was a day before Mother's Day!

Kids activities for the hyper kiddos. Dabby won some toys and even gifted me one of his winnings for Mother's Day.

Julie Ann San Jose raps and sings for the crowd. They went wild over Frozen's Let it Go. :)

And there's Gerald Anderson for the moms and ates to drool over.

Seriously, huge crowd. And I loved the camera drone that hovered over us the whole time.

Hello kiddo!

Photo booth with the kiddo!

What I admire about Jollibee is its dedication to make the family's bond stronger. A picnic like this would be memorable for these families.

"Hey, do you remember our picnic at Plaza Independencia last summer?"

"Yeah, I do. I saw Gerald Anderson!"

Lines like that would still hold memories for years to come. In our case, that is. And yes, Gerald Anderson looks gwapo in person. :)

Not for the Fainthearted - Fitness Festival 2014 at Pueblo Verde, MEZII, Basak, Lapulapu City

If you have a fitness goal, you stick to it, no matter what. You also need to get out there and find the motivation to push forward and not get swayed by the temptations along the way.

Busy moms like me have barely the time to do so. I personally squeeze in a couple of minutes of cardio and the rest of my running to meetings takes care of the rest. I admit, I need more exercise though.

We sat together for a presscon of the Fitness Festival last Tuesday. I was hungry but thankfully, they served food minus the guilt in Shabuway.  Talk about being fit (or trying to be!).

Oh, did I mention a Fitness Festival? Yes, there's an incoming one from AboitizLand's Pueblo Verde and we're ramping up the mention of the event to make sure that those who love to showcase their skills and fitness gather up in one venue at Pueblo Verde and join the challenges set out for them.

Happy Day with the Jollibee Kids Club

Saturday, April 26, 2014.

Have you seen your friends streams of #100HappyDays on Instagram? On Facebook? They are inspiring, awesome, and sometimes - updates you would want to covet. I see streams of food shots, happy faces, milestones, or just little bits of things to be thankful for.

Last April 26th was a Saturday to remember and remember the day we will. Because if I were doing  a #100HappyDays entry, this would be one of the mentions.

We were invited to the launch of the Jollibee Kids Club HappyPlus Card. And from how it turned out, we are hoping to still be part of the club moving forward.

When you start your day with a plate of your favorite Jollibee Chickenjoy and finish off with a plate of the nostalgia-inducing spaghetti, you're set to see the world in a different color.

After our early lunch, we were off to Ayala Center Cebu. Little did we know that we were off to an adventure for the day. And the good thing is that, if you are part of the Jollibee Kids Club and have the HappyPlus card, these things are just part of your membership.

When we arrived, it was jam-packed with a parents and guardians with their kids. They were all ready to have fun with the other club members. The program has not started yet but the good thing was that there were a lot of activities in the area to keep the little kids distracted. Little kiddo got to try glittered tattoo. To note, we had a matching design with different colors. Made me happy!

My favorite was his spider face tattoo. When he requested for it, I thought it would just be one spider on his face. When the artist was working on it, I took a glimpse and was surprised to see how it became a canvas of awesomeness.

Cupcaking decorating was also one of the sought after activities. Imagine people lining up to get cupcakes. It was where we had to wait for a long time because they have to wait for the table to clear before letting more people in. Nevertheless, kiddo made super awesome cupcakes!

Aside from these activities, there's also a corner where kids can play and dance, a place where you can read books, create bookmarks, and everyone's favorite - the photobooth.

I love how Jollibee aims to make kids more well rounded by encouraging the "development of a child's multiple intelligence (social skills) through a variety of activities and workshops".

What I loved is being given the Happy Plus Card. With the same convenience as a debit card, you can get to load the card and use it purchase food when you're in Jollibee. It can also give you the perk of being included in raffles for great prizes. You can check the website linked above for more info.

It was a fun-filled day and looking forward to more days like these with the Jollibee Kids Club. Want to be a member? Click on the image below to read full details:

Tech + Tourism? Have a Viberacay Summer!

Boracay is love.

My family and I were able to visit the place with a conference for an excuse because, honestly, we wouldn't have braved the travel from Kalibo to Boracay without one. The details are on another post but the bottom line is - I loved the place despite its commercialization and imperfections. It is a place where you tend to forget for a few days all your worries and cares.

I will spare you the details of a pristine beaches, lovely ladies, almost-naked hunks, yummy beach food because, really, you've heard and read all about it. You don't need to be reminded that you have to visit there (again) and relish the life away from work, office, droll tasks

Do yourself a favor and visit the the place again. You do have an excuse - SUMMER!

When you do visit this Labor Day weekend, don't forget to drop by Viberacay! Check out the setup they have and make sure to look for these tents.

Viber is a messaging app that me and my folks love to use because it's free and can be used on desktop and mobile. They have lots of fun activities in store for you in Boracay. It's the marriage of travel, tourism, and tech.

What is Viberacay? It's a set of events and activities that Viber has in store for you when you're in the Boracay. Check out the mechanics of all their activities on their ViberPH Facebook page.
